PUBLIC LECTURE BY PROFESSOR B. E. MURPHY. Professor B. E. Murphy, professor of economic at Victoria Unive.sity College, will lecture to-morrow (Thursday) night, at 8 o’clock in Wesley Hall, Hastings, his subject being: “Public Finance in N.Z. from Ballance to Massey.’’ Professor Murphy is one of the most popular public lecturers in the University, so that his lecture tomorrow night will undoubtedly make a very wide appeal, particularly to all who desire to attain a wider and better understanding of the subject of public finance in this country. The public are invited to make a voluntary offering in aid of W.E.A. work in this townMr. George Ebbett will preside.
