WOMEN’S COMMUNITY CLUB
GENERAL MEETING. There was a fair gathering of members at the general meeting of members of the Women's Communty Club on Tuesday afternoon, held to discussion the question of increased accommodation. The president, Mrs. Stead, was in the chair.
Mrs. Turner Williams moved, and Mrs. Harris seconded, that arrangements should be made in 1928 for more accommodation. This was carried unanimously.
Mrs. Stead gave notice to move at a general meeting to be held in a fortnight’s time, that members desirous of entertaining their friends may hire the large room on a 'Wednesday afternoon by paying a fee of 5/-.
The next general meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 6th. Some of those present Were:—Mesdames Stead, Waterworth, LovellSmith, Gilbertson, Douglas, Brodie, Harris. Simson, Douglas Williams, W. McKenzie, Turner - Williams, Lloyd, Krogh, Stratton, O’Meara, Hobbs, Anderson, Atkins, F- von Dadelszen.
