TOO BUSY
TO TAKE SUMMER HOLIDAY. PRECAUTIONS FOR MUSSOLINI’S SAFETY. (Received 23, 10.55 a.m.) London, Aug. 22. The “Daily News’ ” Paris corres pondent states that Signor Mussolini announces that neither himself nor his colleagues can take a summer holiday because they are too busy creating a new Italy. Increasing popular discontent due to the Fascist failure to win the economic battle has led to strengthening the precautions for the safety of Signor Mussolini, whose villa is lit up with searchlights and reflectors every night and strongly guarded by police and detectives. — (Sydney “Sun” cable.)
