One school committee in the Hawke’s Bay district evidently believes that “brevity is the soul of wit’’ for its answer to a question by the secretary of the Hawke’« Bay Education Board was the following terse comment: “Thy will be done.” The secretary in his order paper amended this into a statement of almost thirty words.
