WAGES IN U.S.A.
INCREASE AHEAD OF COST OF LIVING.
(Received 19, 9.55 a.m.) Geneva, Aug. 18. The Internation Labour Office has issued the statistics of United States wages of the last ten years showing that the total wages paid increase 175 per cent. The average annual wage increased from £ll6 to £253 whereas the cost of living increase only 31 per cent.—(A. and N.Z.)
