TAXI CAB WRECKED
IN HAYMARKET, LONDON. AUCKLAND RESIDENTS INJURED. (Received 17, 8.55 a.m.) Auckland, Aug. 16 Dr. and Mrs H S. Holmden, of Auckland, were detained at Charing Cross Hospital as a result of a taxicab accident. The driver of the cab attempted to avoid a pedestrian and crashed into a refuge in the Haymarket, wrecking the cab. The driver and the pedestrian are also in hospital.—(A. and N.Z.)
