FREIGHT REDUCTION
between Masterton and WELLINGTON. Masterton, Aug. 17. At a meeting of the Chamber ot Commerce yesterday afternoon it was announced by the business agent of the Railways Department that there would be a reduction of freights from Wellington to-Masterton to 32/- per ton. It was decided that the Chamber thank the Department for the proposed reduction in freight between Wellington and Masterton and trusts that it will he brought into operation at an early date. The Chamber urged upon members of the business community to support the Railway Department in its efforts.
