MR. NEWTON KING’S WILL.

GENEROUS BEQUESTS MADE. TOTAL OF £lO,OOO TO FOUR PARKS. Probate of the will of the late Mr. Newton King was granted by Mr. Justice MacGregor in the Supreme Court at New Plymouth on Wednesday morning. Under the terms of the will generous bequests are made to the province of Taranaki, sums totalling £lO,OOO having been left to the controlling bodies of four different parks. The individual public bequests are follows:—£3000 to Pukekura Park, this amount to be invested and the income devoted to maintenance and general improvement of the park; £3OOO to the North Egmont Hostelry Committee; £2OOO to the committee of Kawaroa Park, New Plymouth ; £2OOO to the committee of the East End Bathing Reserve, New Plymouth. The executors of the will appointed under the will are Messrs. Stanley Shaw, Truby King and Eliot King.
