WOMEN'S CLUB.
PLAY-READiaG circle. The fortnightly meeting of the Play-reading Circle too plake on Monday night at the eiub rooms. The room was comfortably filled with members, some of whom were taking part and others acting as audience. Mrs Turner-Williams presided and read the descriptive passages; also at the end of the evening was asked to criticise, but said that it was almost unnecessary. The plays chosen were “Becky Sharp” and ‘‘The Great Cham's Diamond.” the reading of which provided an entertaining reading for all. Those taking part were Mrs LovellSmith, Mrs Hogg, Miss Ford, Mi's Lloyd, Mrs Budd, Mrs Marshall, Mrs Rainbow, Mrs McLennan, Miss Bullow, Mrs White, and others present included Mrs Brodie, Mrs Curlett, Mrs Elphick, Mrs Webber, Miss FitzRoy, Miss M. Couper.
