“PROVISIONAL” CHALLENGE TO MANAWHENUA. CANTERBURY’S DECISION. Christchurch, Aug. 10. After a discussion last night on the value of shields and trophies, the Canterbury Rugby Union decided to send Manawhenua a provisional challenge for the Ranfurly Shield,' the match to be played on September 7.
