CLIVE.
(Own Correspondent.) Air. A. Gibbs, prior to his departure to take up an appointment with the Waipukurau Dairy Company, was presented last Friday night at the usual weekly parade of Boy Scouts with mementoes of his association with the troop Scoutmaster Gould, in making the presentation, referred to the general regret of the scouts at his departure and wished him every success in his new sphere of work. Later in the evening Air. Gibbs was the guest of honour at a social in the Public Hall, where the members of the Presbyterian Church Choir asked his acceptance of a wristlet watch Again regret was expressed at the guest’s departure and the happiest seniTinents expressed for his future welfare.
General regret is expressed for Air. and Airs. Weathered in the loss of their eldest daughter, a bright girl of 15 years. A favourite with all, she was dux of the local school last year, passing on subsequently to the Napier Girls’ High School, where she was a pupil at the time of her death.
