PROTECTIVE TROOPB AT HANKOW.
TO STAY THROUGH THE WINTER. (By Cable—Preu Ann,—Copyright.) (Received 14, 1-0 p.m.) Rugby, July 13. Questioned regarding the withdrawal from China of the Indian Brigade, Sir Austen Chamberlain stated in the House of Commons that it was sent because it could arrive quickly and it was not intended that is should remain there. Sir Austen Chamberlain was also asked whether the protective forces at Hankow would be maintained there throughout the winter. He replied that it was impossible to aay what arrangements might he necessary for the protection of British interests at Hankow four months ahead, but, provided the circumstances remained as at present, it was intended to maintain a substantia] force there throughout the winter,
