Trantham, July 14. The Wellington Racing Club’s winter meeting is being continued to-day in cold and threatening weather biv fore a very moderate attendance. The track was in fair order when racing commenced. Results:—
Corunna Hurdles.—9 Aberfeldy 1, 5 Kaikahu 2, 3 Vexatious 3. Scratched: Perle de Leon. Won by two lengths, a head between second and third. Time, 2.59 J. Second Hack Steeplechase.—6 Taitaiata 1, 1 Hokioi 2, 4 Kirkwood 3. All started. Won by four lengths, 15 lengths between second and third. Time, 5.471. Maiden Handicap.—3 Duke Abbey 1, 8 Subdivision 2, 4 Waltzer 3. All started. Won bv two lengths, four lengths between second and third. Time, 1.121. Seatoun Handicap.—l Peho 1, 7 Royal Head 2, 3 Romantic 3. All started. Won by threequarters of a length, one and a half lengths between second and third. Time, 1.39 J. Parliamentary Handicap.—2 Nukumai 1, 6 Alloway 2. 8 Master Doon 3. Scratched; Suh Up, Indian Sage. Won by two lengths, a head between second and third. Time, 2.22).
High-weight Handicap.—ll Fairy Tidings 1, 9 Closefire 2, 10 San Pedro 3. Ser: Rahepoto, Kaikahu, Lady Passenger. Anolo, Ramblin’ Kid. Won by 10 lengths, a head between second and third. Time, 2.14 J.
