BRITISH STUDENTS.
FOUR OF EMPIRE UNIVERSITIES.
London, Dec. 18. The High Commissioners’ far welled the British University students’ delegation at Canada House prior io their starting out on an Empire tour. The delegation includes Mr. Hay, president of the National Union of Students and convener of the Imperial Conference of Students, in 1924, where tne.project originated; Mr. McDonald, treasurer of the International Confederation of Students and president ol the Scottish Students’ Union; Mr Melson, president of the Oxford Union; and Mr. Paul Reed of London University, who recently returned from South Africa with a similar delegation. The purpose of the mission is to promote university co-operation and camaraderie throughout the Empire. Leaving Liverpool on January 4, the delegation will spend two months in Canada, going thence in the Aorangi jo Auckland, where they will arrive in time for the inter-Varsitv tournament. After spending a month Visiting a: d debating with New Zealand universities, the party goes thence to Australia, where negotiations for a programme are not yet completed.
