NEW FERTILISER WORKS.
MOST MODERN PLANT INSTALLED New Plymouth, Dee. 10. The Premier (Hon. J. G. Coates’) opened the acid'and fertiliser works, established by the N.Z. Farmers’ Fertiliser Co., at a large gathering of farmers an<l townspeople. The works of the defunct Farmers’ Meat Co. were purchased and converted and equipped with lhe most modern plant and the largest sulphuric acid ehambean in the v.orid. The Hon W. Nosworthy was also present and spoke. Air Coates was presented by the directors with an inkstand mounted on a greenstone slab, with Ngauru rock phosphate feet. The Premier will be entertained at a garden party this afternoon and a dinner this evening.
