HASTINGS FIRE BOARD.
QUARTERLY MEETING. The statutory quarterly meeting of the Hastings Fire Board was held in tho Fire Station yesterday afternoon, Mr. P. M. Cohr presiding in the absence of the chairman. Mr. G. A. M:tddison. Messrs W. G. Hay. J. W. Norrie, R. E. Hay and G. Mitford Taylor were also present.
A letter was received from the Duplex Fire Alarm Coy. in which it uas stated that according to the contra c, the installation of the Hastings alarm system would be completed by • tho end of April next.
The audited balance-sheet was received from the Auditor-General disclosing a surplus of £6B 2s Id on tho receipts and expenditure for the year ended Juno 30, 1925.
Account amounting to £75 15s 3d were pa&cd for payment.
