SOCIETIES SHELVE AFFILIATION. London, May 27The Congress of Co-operative Societies shelved the question of affiliating with the Labour Party. The decision is regarded as important in view of the anxiety of advanced Labourites to secure financial backing from co-opera-tive societies, as well as food supplies in the event of a renewal of strikes. — (“Tinree.”)
