District Hospital. The injuries wen ■ such as to lacerate her leg very severely and amputation _ is con I sidered essential. The patient geneI rally is in a critical condition. I The driver of the car Mr. Janies ' Rowe, had his arm fractured in three places and amputation of thi*is thought necessary and his con : dition is also serious. I T ater.
Miss. Kate McKenzie, has sue cumbed to injuries received. Dt ceased was a member of a lamami. family -esident there for a long period and was widely and nopularly honoured. Mrs. G. Hall, Wa’nawa. Mrs. R. Angus. Tamamu and Mrs J. T. Fleming. Tairamu a»e sis ers ol deceased, and Mr. Alex (randy) McKenzie of Hastings is a brother, for whom much sympathy is An inquiry into ti e circumstances of death is to be held.
