Dominion total . . . £30,550 £8,075 In announcing the results to-night, Commissioner Hodder declared New Zrtiland led the world in responding to the Army’s appeal, while Gisborne maintained her position already occupied with the highest total of any town m the world. Hawke’s Bay. Wairarapa, Taranaki and Alanawatu were also remarkably generous collections. Gisborne's total was £2900, an increase of £600; Hastings £1520, an increase of £1094. cable received from Gen end Booth to-night congratulates New Zealand.
