TO-NIGHT'S PICTURES.

Everybody’s Theatre, Hastings.—Tonight the great motion-picture success “Camille,” with Clara Kimball Young in the lead, will be screened at Everybody’s, Hastings, for the last time. This talented star is reputed to he America’s greaest tragic actress, and it would certainly be impossible to find anyone more suited to the role of the lovely Camille, queen of the Paris underworld. The setting of the picture is beautiful, while it contains many situations of great dramatic power, the concluding scene being one of the most touching ever shown on the screen. The chief supporting features are the first episode of a new and thrilling serial entitled “The Broken Coin,” and a special song film “She Was My Dad’s First Sweetheart,” during the screening of which Miss A. Fowler sings the song of that name.

Princess Theatre, Hastings.—Fourteen months work and the expenditure of over £lOO,OOO went to the making of “Cabiria” the big film play which is to be screened at the Princess Theatre to-night. It was made in Italy. That is to say that the Itala Film Co. of Turin undertook the task. The scenes, however, are laid in the Alps, in Sicily, in Italy and in Africa, and the whole company of picture artists numbering 700, and the staff required to set and take the pictures, had to be transported to these various places to secure the necessary realism. Actors were injured in the course of the preparations because some of the battle scenes required most strenuous acrobatic feats, but the picture despite disappointing delays and apparently insuperable difficulties was at length completed to the satisfaction of the company’s producers and the author of the scenario. Gabriele’s d’Annunzio, the great Italian playwright. Its 12,000 feet are crowded with thrilling scenes, and in London, Rome, New York, and Paris, it has proved the sensation of the year. The box plan is at Hall’s. Municipal Theatre, Hastings.—The big attraction on the bill at the Municipal Theatre this evening is a five-part Lasky feature entitled “Puddenhead Wilson.” The picture is adapted from Mark Twain’s master work of that name, and is one that holds the audience gripped from start to finish. The supporting items include another of those popular dramas from the pen of tho celebrated poetess Ella Wheeler Wilcox. This programme will be. repeated for the last time this evening, a complete change being announced for to-morrow evening.

King's Theatre, Hastings.—The last screening of the star feature “Jealousy, or the Green Swamp” took place last night, and was much enjoyed by a fairly large audience. The supporting programme was an exceptionally good one, a scenic showing various views of the great Niagara Falls being particularly interesting. Other features included physical education, slow photography, the Pathe Gazette and a bright comedy. To-night will .be screened the big attraction “Cabiria,” when a record house is assured.
