(Own Correspondent.) The School concert which was held in the Town Hall on Friday night proved a great success. The items were well rendered and the audience, for whose accommodation the hall was barely . large enough were very appreciative. The star items were the recitations by little Aileen Nilsson. “Babies” by the infant children.” and “Bravo” by Miss Blondo, this promising young elocutionist having to respond to a triple encore. The action songs and physical drill by the children were very well rendered and showed evidence of careful preparation. Mrs. Vaughan. Mrs. Clearv, Mrs. Joyce Wills, and Miss Ella Beale _ and Messrs Deck, Critchley, Langridge. Liddle and Sergent-Major Wray contributed to the success of the evening, the two latter being enthusiastically encored. At the conclusion of the concert, Mr. G. McKay, chairman of the School Committee, returned thanks to the public for their patronage to the visitors for their assistance and to r he headmaster (Mr. Cartwright) and staff. “Misses Hiddleston and McRae.” for the care they had taken in the training of the children. The concert was followed by a dance.
