Turkish divisions composed of picked troops are fighting bravely, but there is .positive evidence that they often murder Russian wounded. Turkish prisoners explain that the Germans told them that the Russians would shoot every Turkish prisoner. Some officers, taken prisoner, asked the Russians whether the execution would take place on the spot or later in the rear. When they found that they were humanely treated, they agreed to write letters in Turkish stating the facts which Russian aviators would distribute in the Turkish lines.
