“JUDICIALLY MURDERED.”
FERRER AND THE SPANISH REPUBLICANS. Madrid, Feb. 3. , Interviewed by a foreign journalist, Senor Soriano, leader of the Spanish Republicans and owner of the chief Radical newspaper in Madrid, referred to Premier Canalejas as the last prop of the monarchy in Spain, and made no bones about the party’s plans for eliminating him. The Republicans hold King Alfonso responsible for the failure of the fight against the Church, and charge the Premier with lack cf good faith and insincerity. Everything that had been done towards limiting the power of the Church had proved ineffective.
Senor Soriano said that the Republicans would demand a revision of the Ferrer case with the object of overthrowing the Government, just as the downfall of the Maura Administration was brought about. The Republicans contend that if their request meets with a refusal Canalejas will be unable to withdraw the odium of shielding Maura, while, if it is granted, they will show that the Ferrer affair was another Dreyfus case.
“There will be no difficulty,” added the Republican deader, “in proving that Ferrer was judicially murdered, and the scandal will shake the foundations of the throne.” Distressing Blemishes.—“ Violet Snow” Cream is the only positive remedy for superfluous hair, and is used by thousands of women throughout the Dominion.
