METEOROLOGY.
James Leithead advises us that the following was the rainfall at Mokoia, near Wood viile, during December:—On the 4lh 25in, Slh .02in, 6th .66in, Bth, *osm, 9th 16in, 10th .09in, 11th .20in, 12th .05in, 15th .10in, 15th .19in,'17th .14in, 18th .06in, 19th -02 in, 21st .17in, 23rd .02in, 24th .05in, 27th ,Gsip; total, 2.16 inches. The following is a record of the rainfall at Mokoia during the year 1903: —January 8.21 in, February 2.13 in, March 2.23 in, April 3.66 in, May 5.40 in, June 4.09 in, July 3.29 in, August 4.53 in, September 4.15 in, October 2.27 in, November 6.91 in, December 2.16 m* Total rainfall, 49.03 inches, as against 5§.1l inches in 1902. Mr p. Curd reports the rainfall to have been 2.‘56 inches at Ormondville during December,
