PIGEON FLYING.
Tho Hawke’s Bay Homing Club flew a race from Wellington on Saturday. ■Twenty-nine birds competed, and capital time was recorded, 'the following ie the result:-Sir T. Cleary’s Daisy Clipper, time 4hr 20min 30ses, velocity 1155 1-lOch yards, 1; Mr T. Harris’ Sky Pilot, time 4Hr 22min, velocity 1132 1- yards, 2j Mr J, BickerstaS’a Armoura, time ’dhr 31miu, velocity 1126 7-10 th yards, 3; Mr J. Wuterworth’e bird, time ihr 41 min, velocity 1087 7-10 th yards, Mr G. Peterson's bird, time 4hr 42tnin, velocity 1086 l-6th yards, 6. Mr G. I. Clarke acted as judge. The Napier Flying Club had a very successful race from New Plymouth on Saturday. The weather conditions were favorable, and the large number of competitors all homed m excellent time.
