THEATRE ROYAL.

IMPEBIAL BIOGR4.PH COMPANY Among the many kinematogrsph or biograph entertainments which have visited Napier at various timed. Bone has been better than Messrs Cooper and Macdermottfs Imperial Biograpb, which opened a abort season here en Saturday. A matinee performance was given in the afternoon, which attracted a crowded house, and in the evening the audience was one of the largest known here for a S&tnrday night. The entertainment oan be highly recommended, the pioturea shown being exceedingly clear and steady and with a total absence of the flickering so conspicuous in some similar entertainments. The series of coronation piotnrai were very fine, and gave a very realistic idea of the procession to the Abbey, the arrival of the King, the crowning ceremony, the return of the prsoesaion, Ac. Not less interesting than the coronation films was the splendid oolleetion of animated pictures representing "Our Navy," comprising soma magnificent photographic reproduction! of battleships, ancient and modern, and number of particularly interesting pictures of Jack at work and playing, thme depeoiting wash-day, exeroising the donkey, Handy Andy, and a gunpowder joke, being very humorous. There were also a few Boer war pictures, an attaok on a mission station by the Boxers and rescue by the Jack Tare, a moving train, a torpedo boat discharging a torpedo, all of whioh proved very entertaining. The series of colored photographs illustrating "JCillarney" were very good, and the same may be said of the colored portraits of the King, Queen, the late Queen Tistoria, British generals, fes. The trick films which concluded the entertainment were of a myitoriouß and highly diverting character. A first-class phonograph reproduced several seleotions with excellent e&eet. Entertainments will be given to-night and to-morraw.
