BLENHEIM RAILWAY.
[PBESB ASSOCIATION.] Seddon, Friday. There was perfect weather for the opening cf the Blenheim-Seddon section of railway. There was a large gathering of people at Seddon, In an address Sir Joseph Ward declared the railway open, and, drove the train along the line, breaking a ribbon. Other speakers were the Hon. T. Y. Duncan and the Hon. C. H. Mills. The Minister for Lands, referring to the Plaxbourna estate, further along the line, said he hoped arrangements would be made within a few months which would secure the next property for close settlement. A public luncheon was held. The Acting-Premier returns to Wellington to-night, Mr Duncan continuing bis journey overland to Christahurch,
