OLD COLONISTS.

[PBESS ASSOCIATION,J Auckland, Thursday. At St. Andrew* Presbyterian Ohnroh this morning the fourth annual thanksgiving service of old colonist* was held. Originally got up by arrivals by the two ships Duohere of Argyle and Jane Gifford SO years ago, the rs-nnion now includes all old colonists by pioneer voaiols and their children. An official list of ail attending who arrived or were born in New Zealand 60 years ago or more in kept. The gathering was a very large one. The Eev. W. S. Potter, himself a colonist of 44 years’ standing, and President of the Auckland Ministers’ Association, presided. The oldest pioneer present in point of residence was Mr Kbenezor Baker, who was born at Eerlkeri, Bay of Islands, in ISBO. A successful social gathering was held in the afternoon.
