STEAMER STRANDED.
[by telegbaph.] Patea, Tuesday. The Huia, while loading pipes for Hawera, grounded on the bar this morning. She is not in a dangerous position, and ia expected to get off when the load it. lightened. Wellington, Tuesday. Appliances are being sent from here to launch the steamer Huia, stranded at Patea. The vessel is not insured, but a cargo of pipes shipped by Brißcoe M'Neil and Co. is insured for £SOO. The vessel has sustained some injury. She struct the breakwater, tearing a hole in the stem, which will necessitate considerable repairs. The work of unloading her is proceeding.
