ACQUITTED.
Auckland, Tuesday. At the Supreme Court James Donaghey was charged with the attempted murder of James Brennau at Onehunga on March ] lth by shooting. He was acquitted on the grounds of insanity. The Judge ordered him to be detained in close confinement during the pleasure of the Colonial Secretary.
