At tbe Waipukurau meeting Mr W. C. Smjlji presjfied, Eleven persons were

— C i.i nominated, and on a ballot the following were declared elected :— Messrs Bogle, ) Niven Young, LeCocq, Chambeis, Gow, and Jamiesoa. There was a large ; attendance and considerable excite ment was expected, but Was happily averted. The committee ta said to bo an excellent one, and calculated to allay the unhappy feeling that has obtained of late years in school matters. The leading 3 bodies have each three representatives, and the odd man is neutral and independent of both sides.
