HOKITIKA.
Wednesday, December 21. At the Eight-Mile Diggings, two miners, William King and C. Forgousen, were killed yesterday by a fall of earth, while working a hydraulic sluicing claim. A . third person, named Quinn, was fearfully injured. The Borough Council met at noon to- - day, and elected J. M. Higgins Mayor for the ensuing year.
