Sib, — Can you inform me whether there is an Engineer or overseer of roads in the province ? I entertain a sort of foggy idea there is not ; anyhow if there is their services can well be dispensed with, for of all the utter neglect in existence there is ocular demonstration in the choked up ditches, broken bridges, culverts stopped up, and ■ holes in the road to break the necks of the Papakuni settlers, who still pay their dues at the toll-gate. — I am, &c, Colonist.
