LETTERS TO THE EDITOR.
The Editor docs not hold himself responsible for opinions expressed by correspondents. Sir, — As the last Provincial Council A r oted money for making the roads about Porangahau, will you allow mc to ask through your paper whether they mean to do them this summer, or will they wait until the bad weather comes, as is usually the way. All the bridges were carried away last winter, and I believe but two have been repaired. If some of the Napier people had to travel up here a little oftener, the roads would soon be done, as they would find the inconvenience of them as they are at present ; and next winter many of the creeks will be impassable after any raiu. — I am, &c, Cook's Tooth.
