The Strathallan, henoe .the ..18 th February, had a fine run of 26 days from Napier to Cape Horn. The Cape was rounded, close in shore, on a beautiful day. Subsequently, a good deal of time was lost in the tropics ; but fine N.E. trades were experienced, and the ship had a fine run from the Azores to the Soilly Islands. The Colonial government screw steamer St. Kilda, Capt. Fox, arrived in the roadstead from Wellington on the night of Friday last, having left the preceding day with the English mail received per Mataura from Panama. She steamed for Wellington on the afternoon of Saturday. The Muriwai, schooner, left Poverty Bay on Saturday at 3 p.m., with fine weather and moderate breezes from north. Passed Portland Island at 11 p.m., and, soon after, lost tha breeze. On Sunday, was becalmed off Old Man's Bluff, and arrived in Napier next (Monday) morning, The schooner is expeoted to sail for Turanga to day. The Taranaki, s.s., is expected here from Auckland on Wednesday next, and will leave oa Thursday, carrying the English mail via Panama per s,s. Bakaia.
