THE ELECTIONS.

The nomination for Havelock took place on Tuesday latt. Mr. James Wood was proposed by Mr. Danvers, seconded by Mr. Reynolds. Mr. W. J. Birch by Mr. Bousfield, seconded by Mr. Richardson. The successful candidates then came forward aud thanked the electors. Messrs. Buchanan, Edwards, and Robjohns also spoke a few words to the assembled crowd. Mr. Maltby, we should mention, withdrew his name as a candidate early in the day.
