Coming=of=Age Party
On a recent evening at the home of Mrs L. Mudford, a very gay party was given by Miss White to celebrate the coming-of-age of her niece, Miss Bettie McCullum. The evening was spent in dancing, cards and games, and during supper a lengthy toast list was honoured, the principal toast ot the evening being proposed by Mr Mudford. Mr W. McCullum responded on his sister’s behalf. A gold key was presented to Miss McCullum by Miss White. Elocutionary items were given by Miss Margaret Mudford, and tap dances by Miss Jean McCullum, Among those present were Mrs Mudford, Misses White, Jean McCullum, Maisie Sehwieters (Auroa), Muriel McQueen, Audrey Blackman, Jesse Baker, Nellie Julian, Margaret and Joyce Mudford. Miss Wells has returned, to her home after spending a few days as the guest of Mrs A- Ross. Mrs H. Putt has returned from holidays spent in the Thames district. During her stay in Otakeho, Miss N. Rosslyn was the guest of Mrs Richards.
