Taiporohenui Maori Institute
Second Birthday in October At Mrs M. R. Jones’ residence, Mor/issey Street, the committee of the Taiporohenui Maori Women’s Institute — Mrs Panenui (chairwoman), Mesdames Jones, Pokere, Toka, Rangiwahia, Veitch, Govenor and Miss Blake —decided to hold the second birthday during the first week in October at the Taiporohenui Hall. In order to augment Institute funds a dance is to be held to-morrow night, when there will be a cosy fire and cards for those not wishing to dance. An offer was accepted from a member to run a free bus from Hastings Road via Ketemarae.
Mrs Jones entertained the committee to afternoon tea.
