Hunter Road Branch
The monthly meeting of the Hunter | Road branch of the AV.D.F.T . was held in the hall on Tuesday, when Mrs AV. E. Carter presided and there was a good attendance. An invitation from the Hawera branch to attend a social evening at the Rewa rooms was received. Arrangements were made for the third annual birthday party to be held next -month. It was decided to make a donation to the funds of the Hunter Road Sunday school. A very interesting demonstration on rose pruning was given by Air. Colin Brisco, who was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Hostesses for afternoon tea were Airs A. J. Prestidge and Aliss R. Startup.
