Keano added a neat try with a run on the blind side of the scrum. Bush forwards completely dominated the scene, bustling the Rangitikei backs, and but for the good work of Harvey,, fullback, the margin must have been greater^ After the resumption Bush pressed and Alee Mills fielded a cross-kick and scored. Rangitikei retaliated, Dickson scoring a smart try in the corner. Soon Jolly followed up a kick and scored by the posts. Potaka converting.
