The Canterbury hard court tennis tournament was continued to-day and in most events the semi-final stages have been reached. Results were: — Men’s singles.—Quarter-finals: C. Angas beat R. A. Young, (I—-1, G—3; A. R. Cant beat R. Bell, (i—2, G—2; H. Dymond beat J. C. Robertson, G—l, G—2; H. A. Barnett beat R. G. Pattinson, G—3, G—l. Semi-final: Angas beat Cant, .14—12, G—l. Women’s singles.—Semi-final: Miss E. Rudkin beat Miss Weavers, G —l, 9 —7; Miss I. Poole beat Miss N. Bishop, G—3. fi—3.
Men’s doubles.—Somi-finaTs: Angas and Dymond boat D. I. and ,T. C. Robertson, G—2, G —4. The other semifinalists are Cant and A. G. Gillies and H. A. Barnett and J. 11. W. Sheppard
Women’s doubles.—Semi-final: Misses I. and T. Poole beat Misses J. Senior and F. Cannon, G—l, G—3; Misses E. Rudkin and M. Sherris boat Misses Weavers and Boyd, G—2, 3 —G, f—4.
