AFTER-SPORTS DINNER
RUGBY TEAMS ENTERTAINED. . PRESENTATION AT MANAIA. . Winners and runners-up of the Manaia Hibernian and District Sports Club ten-a-side Rugby tournament- and a number of officials were entertained by Mr and Mrs P. W. Barnes. The tables were tastefully decorated and Mr J. A. Hansen, president of the sports club, occupied the chair. During the evening the Challenge Cap and miniature cups were presented to the winners (Okaiawa) and a Gilbert’s football to the runners-up (Patea). Various toasts were honoured, including the King, the successful team, the Taranaki Rugby Union, the referees and the host and hostess.
