The second day of the Y.RI.C, races was held at Fiemington to-day. The weather was warm and the attendance good. ' Synagogue was well placed always and scored a comfortable win in tjie Elms Handicap. He has had two starts and two wins since lie was purchased by Mr. Jack Phillips. Capris led to the straight entrance, but tired. Palfresco ran a game. race. Cotys finished fast after a slow beginning. The winner is a stable-mate of- Count Ito and a full-brother to the recent Caulfield winner, Eastern Knight. Lady Primrose finished brilliantly on the rails in the second division of the Gibson Carmichael Stakes. She is trained by George Jones for Mr. W. R. Item ball. This was her third win this season.

Marabou, Cotys and Don Miguel, minor place-getters in tjie first three races, are all trained by L. Robert-.

Paotolus was always prominent and had a comfortable win in tho steeplechase. He is raced by the chairman of the club, Mr. L. K. S. Mackinnon.

Dark Sky atoned for his Newmarket failure with a narrow victory in. tho Leonard Stakes. He finished well to beat Great Legend an the last few strides. Sir John, badly placed early, was a good third. Araelme had every chance. Hall Mark made amends for Saturday’s defeat with a fast finish in the King’s Plate. His victory was unpopular with a section of the crowd. Rogilla made the pace and improved on Saturday’s form. Topical had every chance. King March made an improved effort. Hall Mark scored in the same event last year. His trainer, J. Holt, also won the race with Second Mind. Heroic and Eurhythmic.

Whittingham, trained by the former New Zealander, George Price, had a well-deserved win in the River Handicap, in which he finished fast. Alaric had every chance. Royal Rest was unlucky in the running. Gold Trail finished strongly and enhanced her Cup chance. Results arc:
