N.Z. A “ROBBER COUNTRY.” COMPLAINT OVER TAXATION. (By Telegraph—Press Associations DUNEDIN, March 4. Some rather staggering comments concerning New Zealand by a. man v ho recently returned tic# England after constant employment hero .for 12 years are contained in a letter just received. 7 He states that 40 third-class passengers who accompanied him to England were glad to get away from “The Robber Country,maintaining that with unjust taxation regulations they were being robbed of everything. The wages tax seemed to be a pariiculaily sere point, as they maintained that they received nothing when idle. They avowed that they were going to widely advertise New Zealand conditions and would influence thou* friends not to buy New Zealand produce.
