OTAKEHO-KAUPOKONUI

PERSONAL AND GENERAL. The annual picnic of the Otakeho school was held at the Opunake beach last week. A lorry-load of happy children, as well as several cars, enjoyed the run to the* beach. Races and games were part of the entertainment, while most of the children spent much time in the surf. Luncheon and afternoon tea were served by the school committee and teachers. Captain M. Mackie, Tawny Owl N. Pettigrew and Guiders S. Ahier, Margaret Lowrie, Etnmelina Haiti y and Eileen Walker returned on Monday from Wellington, where they attended the Lord and Lady Baden Powell rally. Mrs Kerrisk, who has /been the guest of her daughter, Mrs W\ Crompton, Rama Road, has returned to Qliangai. Mr and Mrs J. Hayward. Hunterville, are visitors to the district.
