Alan Raymond Smith', aged 3D", a New Zealander, succumbed to injuries received after diving from the high board in tHe Humstantion swimming pool. Apparently he struck another bather. He was found floating, paralysed, and with spinal injuries, and was sent to hospital.
His companion, Edgar Smith, son. of Mr C. Staniey Smltn, of Dunedin, unavailingly brought a specialist from London, but Alan succumbed. Both were engineers, employed by the Ouse Catchment Board.
