CRICKET CLUB ANNUAL MEETING (From Our Own Correspondent.) There was a fair attendance at the annual meeting of the Meremere Cricket Club and officers were elected-: as follows: Patron, Mr J. Railton; president, Mr R. Davis; vice-president, Mr, W. Dunlop, senr.; chairman, Mr J.i Bloor; secretary, Mr M. Murray; grounds committee, Messrs W. Geary, J. Davison, L. -Syrnes, W. Duniop, junr., M. Murray and J. Bloor. Mr W. Geary was- elected club captain and Mr L. Williams yice-captain. Messrs W. Geary, J. Bloor and L-. Williams were appointed selectors. As the club has over £7 ip hand, it was decided to buy wicketkeeper’s and batsmen’s pads and a new bat. The subscription was fixed at ss.
