“LIKE SWALLOWING HOT SAND” Community singing may be good' fun: in a toil or around the campfire, but in; a crowded open motor-van with the air 1 thick with dust the effect is far from pleasant. A party of Christchurch tramp ers realised this when returning homo after a week-end in the 1 hills. Monday morning found more than one of the party with a badly affected throat.
