I General O’Duffy’s Oration at Funeral of Michael Lynch DELIBERATE FIRING ALLEGED TEN THOUSAND LINE ROUTE

"I charge the administration with deliberately firing on 'unarmed people apparently intending to kill, said General O Duffy in nis funeral oration to Michael Lynch at Cork. He declared, that Lynch was a martyr for the Free State, adding that during the shooting there were 35 uniformed guards and. 12 members of the so-called “harriers” special detective force. “In the name of the United Ireland Party I demand the disbandment of this section of detectives,” he said. * General O’D'uffy added that though, there had been, a good harvest, the times were the worst since the famine of 1846. “I fear that no farmers will be able to meet the demands of 1935,” he declared. Business in Cork was suspended for two hours and 10,000 lined the street. There were no incidents.
