FIREMEN IN COMPETITION

ANNUAL EVENTS' AT HAWERA. CONTEST FOR BONE CUP. The members of the Hawera Volunteer Fire Brigade during the week-end held the annual three-men motor events for the Bone Cup, the trophy presented by Mr L. A. Bone, chairman of the Hawera Fire Board. The names of the winning team are engraved upon the base of the cup, which cannot be won outright. Each of the three men received a gold medal, which this year were donated by Messrs C. Cummings, J.
